1. Creation of Earth (4.5 billion years ago)- The Earth being created was so important because without the Earth being created, life wouldn't exist because Earth is the only planet that can sustain life.

2. First true man homo erectus emerges (1.5 million years ago)- Homo erectus was the first form of man. This was so important because they needed a first form before they could then develop into Neanderthals, Homo sapiens, etc.

3. Man begins to make artificial shelters from branches (400 thousand years ago)- Man need three essentials to live; food, shelter, and clothing. This was significant because it was the beginnings of creating shelters and the beginning of humans being able to defend themselves from harsh weather, animals, etc.

4. Man cultivates first crops, wheat and barley (7500 B.C)- When Agriculture began developing it helped people have better access to food, and a new form of finding food. Before, people had just hunted, but now they can begin to farm.

5. First complete alphabet devised in script (Ugarit) (1400's B.C)- The first alphabet was the first step towards creating a written language. Developing a written language is so important because it has a huge effect on the world by making it possible to document things, write books, and just write thoughts in general. It developed a whole new way of doing things.
